Info
Identibac S. aureus Genotyping detects 333 genetic markers, including antimicrobial resistance and virulence factors for Staphylococcus aureus.
Equipment Required
The ArrayTube™ reader is a rapid, compact, single tube reading device, which enables the capture and visualisation of the array image. It comes with a USB interface and is easily connected to a PC or laptop.
The ArrayMate™ reader provides a higher throughput of samples by reading up to 6 ArrayTubes or 12 ArrayStrips at one time. Each ArrayStrip comprises 8 wells, with the potential for 600 probes in the base of each well.
The software is a powerful imaging tool for the analysis of array images of multiple formats and ensures a high level of data integrity.
All other equipment required is standard in most molecular biology laboratories, including PCR machine, incubator, thermomixer and pipettes.
S. aureus Genotyping
Identibac S. aureus Genotyping is a DNA array for the simultaneous detection of antimicrobial resistance genes and toxin genes in Staphylococcus aureus isolates. The results offers more information than PFGE, MLST or SPA Typing without sequencing and additional information on agr or capsule typing.
Identibac S. aureus genotyping is presented in a convenient ArrayStrip™ format, which contains 333 probes (in duplicate) printed onto an array located in the bottom of the ArrayStrip™. 96 Arrays can be scanned and analysed at the same time on the Arraymate™ reader
Identibac S.aureus Genotyping on Arraymate™ reader enables you to screen multiple genetic markers in a rapid, inexpensive, robust and easy-to-use system without the complexity and investment associated with traditional glass slide arrays or multiplex PCRs.
Unique genetic fingerprinting for MRSA and MSSA identification
- To trace outbreaks in real time
- Rapid strain identification within 24 hours
- Yields more information than PFGE, MLST or SPA typing without sequencing
- Identifies 333 clinicaly relevant markers for resistance, virulence + typing within a single test
- For epidemiological surveilance and outbreak tracing without work intensive typing procedures + multiplex PCR
- For infection control in hospitals + communities
- For reference centres, veterinary health institutions, forensic medicine, food industry
